With this Star Wars TIE Fighter Replica, one of the Galactic Empire's deadliest ships is yours to own! Scanned from an actual screen-used model used during the making of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, this TIE Fighter FX Model will be a "most impressive" addition to your Star Wars collection! The Star Wars Episode IV Imperial TIE Fighter Replica is a limited edition not to exceed 1,000 pieces that measures 17 3/4-inches tall x 13 3/4-inches wide x 14 1/8-inches long. Constructed of high-quality resin, injection-molded ABS, and machined metal, it features LED lighting effects and includes a numbered plaque and certificate of authenticity. It's truly awesome!

In order to make the most accurate replica of this iconic ship, a number of different reference resources were used. More than 90% of the model kit parts that were used on the original model were identified. A digital scan of a TIE model in the Lucasfilm archives was used to map the parts, verify the dimensions, and scratch build the model kit parts that either could not be found or identified. An original TIE Fighter that is known to have been used in the filming of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope was used to match the correct colors.

Deployed throughout the galaxy from the hangars of the Galactic Empire's awesome fleet of Star Destroyers and the dreaded Death Star were the standard starfighters of the Imperial arsenal, the Thermal Ion Engine crafts known as the TIE Fighters. These small, one-man, short-range ships were fast and maneuverable, but lacked a hyperdrive and thus had to be deployed from hangars and launch bases. They had two fire-linked laser cannons, mounted on the ball-shaped cockpit.

Industrial Light and Magic's (ILM) Colin Cantwell created the concept model with the iconic ball-shaped cockpit and hexagonal wings. The combat scenes were meant to be reminiscent of World War II dogfight footage, and the film editors used actual World War II air combat footage for the filming of the special effects.

Star Trek - Mark X Medical Tricorder - Prop Replica

Sources: Entertainment Earth / Amazon.com

Star Trek Mark X Medical Tricorder Prop Replica:

Tricorder seen in DS9 and Voyager!
Star Trek replica created from the original master tooling.
Screen-accurate lights and sounds, plus a removable hand scanner.
From Roddenberry. Hand built in the USA.

The Mark X Medical Tricorder as conceived and hand built by the team of Moore and Horch for use on Star Trek became the next generation of Federation tricorder. This version was smaller, had more flashing lights, and could last longer on a set of batteries than the previous generations. Used on Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and the last three Star Trek movies, this prop is replicated here from original master tooling. This sensational reproduction features an authentic LED sequence and graphic overlays, along with screen-accurate sound effects (including "ratchet open" feature) and a removable hand scanner with independent LED effects! It comes with a custom display stand and certificate of authenticity. Dr. McCoy could have used one of these!

The tricorder of the 23rd century was a heavy, black, rectangular device with a small screen and a shoulder strap. The medical variants of this model had the detachable scanner stored in the bottom when not in use, as opposed to the front, giving this model the same overall profile regardless of its intended use. The 24th-century unit is a small, gray, square model with a flip-out panel to allow for a larger screen. Later on, this design was further refined with a slightly more angular appearance that was seen on most of the The Next Generation era movies, as well as later seasons of Deep Space Nine and Voyager.
